June 25- 26
Vacation Bible School at Shiloh Baptist Church, 6:30pm-8pm nightly. Adults and children welcome. Please call the church for local pick up locations. 985-1180.

Join us at Shiloh Church of the Brethren for an exciting Vacation Bible School to Discover the Untamed Nature of God in Wildwood Forest. Each evening at 6:30pm-8:45pm. Come to have fun and learn about God. Classes are for 2 years-adults. On Friday will be the program and picnic. The church is located on Rt. 667 (Middle River Road, in Stanardsville.

Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 725 Gate Road in Madison, will be having Vacation Bible School- Rescue 2009, from 6:30-8:30pm nightly. Ages 4 up to adult classes will be provided. Carnival style games and ice cream will be provided. For more information, contact us at 540-948-5970

June 27
Word of Deliverance & Helps Ministries presents “Completing the Divine Assignment Conference: Putting All the Pieces Together.” Registration is at 8:30am, conference will be at 9am. Registration fee is $25, includes continental breakfast and catered lunch. Featured guests: Leroy Mashore, Blessed & Anointed Mime Praisers. Hosts and sponsors: Elder Booker Hill & Gloria Hill.

In celebration of Pastor Harrison L. Williams’ accomplishments, including a Doctrine in Theology degree and a Masters in Christian Counseling degree, Shiloh Baptist Church will be sponsoring a graduation cookout on Sat. June 27 at 4:30pm. Those attending are asked to being a covered dish.

June 28-July 1
Ruckersville Baptist invites you to attend our annual Homecoming & Revival Services starting June 28, Homecoming Day. Revival Services begin Sunday night and continue through July 1. Services begin at 7pm each night. A former member of our church, Rev. Elwood (Woody) Johnson, will be our guest speaker each night. Special music each evening. Vertical Praise will our musical guests on Sunday.

June 29
A new church is coming to Greene. Ruckersville House of Prayer. An informational meeting will be held at 7:30pm in the Town Hall in Stanardsville. June 29-July 3
Mountain View United Methodist Church invites all children to go to the edge this summer for Vacation Bible School. Camp E.D.G.E.: "Experience and Discover God Everywhere" is an extreme adventure camp taking kids on exciting Bible treks to experience and discover God everywhere, every day. The fun begins Monday, June 29th and ends Friday, July 3rd from 9 am to noon at Mt. View on Rt. 33. For more information, call 985-9833, 985-4063, or 973-3901.

July 1-4
Freedom Revival 2009! Come and join us at Solid Rock Full Gospel Church, 3580 Spotswood Trail in Barboursville for 3 nights of great gospel music, fellowship and food. Music begins at 7pm nightly. July 1st: Austin Bridge and Restoration will be ministering in song to encourage the youth in our community. July2en: Eighth Day Restoration and the Tuners. July 3rd: Paul Williams and Restoration. July 4
Stanardsville United Methodist Church is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat homemade BBQ lunch to raise funds to build the next Habitat House here in Greene County. Lunch will consist of homemade BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and a beverage. The cost of lunch is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children from ages 2-6, and free for children under 2 years old. Tickets are available at the door. Tax deductible donations over the cost of the dinner are always welcome and needed. Checks can be made payable to "Habitat for Humanity.” Come one, come all, come hungry and invite your neighbors and friends to come as well!

July 6-10
Community Vacation Bible School is July 6-10 starting at 6-8pm.. Location: Grace Episcopal Church. Any and all children in the Stanardsville area are welcome. South River Church will have a lawn party July 11 beginning at 4Pm. We will have mutton, fried chicken, country ham and tons of veggies and desserts. Please join us.

July 12
Join Pastor Walter Bryant & the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Tanners, when they travel to the Jesus Saves Christian Center in Fort Washington, MD on July 12. Tickets are $20 and the departure time is 12pm. Reservation must be made by June 28. Contact Mrs. Jane Wood at 540-672-3717.

Ready to travel back in time? Ready for Rome?

July 20
Stanardsville United Methodist Church invites all children to go to the edge this summer for Vacation Bible School. Camp E.D.G.E. is an extreme adventure camp taking kids on exciting Bible treks to experience and discover God everywhere. The fun begins Monday July 20th at 6:00p.m. and ends with a picnic finale on Friday July 24th. Each day kids will rotate through story time, games, snacks, crafts and music. NOTICES
The Caring Companions will meet every 2nd Tuesday at Westover United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm. This organization gives individual support to the elderly in their homes. If you have a loved one who could benefit from an hour or two a week visit from a friendly face or you are able to volunteer an hour or so a week to be present to someone else. Please call 434-985-2709.

Join us at Stanardsville United Methodist Church for Summer Fun Days, summertime fun in the 'Son'. We invite children (and their parents) ages 2-12 to join us on Wednesday mornings from 10-12am for games, crafts, music, and story time. No activities on July 22. 985-3888
