GUEST MEDITATION: The Peace of God
Published: June 24, 2009
“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,“ Phil. 4:5-7.
People watch our lives to see how we act or react in given situations and so does our Lord. He is always at hand observing every instance, and He is aware of our every need. Knowing that our Lord is at hand, we should hand everything over to Him. He is all wise, all sufficient, and more concerned about our well being than anyone.
Now we may not understand why our Lord may allow certain things or why our prayers may not be answered as we desire, but He will give us His peace “which passeth all understanding.“ What greater treasure could one have than to have a heart and mind that is kept by the peace of God?
