GUEST MEDITATION

The only way to be without spot before the Lord is to be crucified with Christ and to be risen with Him. Paul said, “ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me,“ Galatians 2;20
Now we have God’s word that Jesus died on the cross, we died with Him; and when He arose, we arose with Him. We must now accept by faith what happened then; and in His time, we will experience the complete reality of all that Christ accomplished. Meanwhile, we live by faith knowing that it is true and that we can experience a foretaste of that abundant life.
The same truth of being crucified with Christ so that we are without spot is taught also in the Old Testament in the Song of Solomon, chapter four, verses six through seven.
“Until the day break and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense,“ says the bride to the bridegroom; and the bridegroom responds, “Thou art all fair, my love, there is no spot in thee.“
To get “to the mountain of myrrh” and “to the hill of frankincense” is to indentify with the crucifixion of Christ; and in identifying with Him, there is no spot in us; for His blood cleanses us from all sin. So let us live, knowing that resurrection follows the crucifixion.
