GREENE COUNTY INDICTMENTS

Greene’s Grand Jury convened June 8. Among those indicted were:
Amanda S. Bennett, 32, of 273 Southard Road in Stanardsville, on two counts of allegedly embezzling money from Payne’s Check Cashing in Ruckersville. Bennett pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Tuesday, July 7. She is scheduled for trial by judge Tuesday, October 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Crystal L. Carver, 27, of 14321 Eheart Lane in Barboursville, for the alleged possession of a controlled substance, and for attempting to obtain a drug through forgery or the alteration of a prescription. Carver is free on $5,000 bond. She scheduled to be arraigned in Greene County Circuit Court Tuesday, July 28 at 1:30 p.m.
Steven Faulkner, 45, who is currently residing at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, for allegedly failing to register for a second time with the Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. According to court documents, Faulkner was found guilty of the same offense in Charlottesville last year. Faulkner was found guilty in Madison County in 1998 of the sexual assault of a victim under age 13. Faulkner is scheduled to be arraigned in Greene County Circuit Court on Tuesday, July 21 at 9:30 a.m.
Heather Eve Gallimore, 36, of 2068 Whispering Woods Drive in Charlottesville, for allegedly committing welfare fraud. Gallimore pleaded not guilty to the three counts on Tuesday, June 16, the day after she pleaded guilty to two counts of felony embezzlement from the Greene County Youth Center. She is free on a $10,000 secured bond. Gallimore is scheduled to be sentenced for the embezzlement offenses Friday, October 2 at 9:30 a.m., and to stand trial for the welfare fraud charges on Tuesday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m.
James Wesley Morris, 27, of 44 Holmes Run Place in Stanardsville, for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer. According to court documents, Morris assaulted Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy William Duncan III when Duncan responded to a fight in progress at Morris’ residence. Morris is free on a $5,000 secured bond. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday, June 23, and is scheduled to stand trial without a jury on Tuesday, September 29 at 9:30 a.m.
Latisha R. Nibblett, 26, of 3092 Advance Mills Road in Ruckersville, for allegedly obtaining public assistance by fraud. Nibblett pleaded not guilty to the charge at her arraignment Tuesday, June 16. At that time, she waived her right to trial by jury, and was scheduled to stand trial without a jury on Tuesday, September 1 at 1:30 p.m.
Kenneth Ivan Williams, 45, of 961 Ford Avenue in Stanardsville, for allegedly breaking and entering into William Monroe High School with the intention of committing a crime. Williams pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday, July 7 and exercised his right to trial by jury. That trial is scheduled for Friday, October 9 at 9:30 a.m.
Greene’s Grand Jury will next convene at the Greene County Courthouse Monday, August 10, at 9:30 a.m.
