Vacation Bible School -Stanardsville Baptist Church. Join us at our dig site of discovery “Truth Trek” where kids will be given an opportunity to uncover the treasures of God’s truth as they learn to obey His commands and understand that Jesus is the power by which we live. Bible study, crafts and outdoor fun will be offered Sunday through Thursday nights, 6:30 - 8:45 PM. Come join the fun - Ages 3 to 18 are invited.. Registration begins at 6 PM on Sunday.. Family Night/Hotdog Supper at 6:30 PM on Friday.

Summer Bible School. Mt Hermon Mennonite Church. 7pm-8:30pm. Classes from Kindergarten through adult. Everyone is welcome.

Evergreen Church of the Brethren Vacation Bible School—-Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Zebras and Giraffes. Join us for lots of fund and laughs. We’re going to have a good time this is true, the only thing missing is YOU! 6:45pm-8-45 p.m., ages 2 and up, including adults. We will have lessons, crafts, snacks and more. Westover United Methodist Church will be having their annual Lawn Party beginning at 5:00 pm. There will be lots of good food, all kinds. The charge will be $8.00 for adults, children under eight years old are free. Come out and enjoy the food and the fellowship. We look forward to seeing you.

Join us at Shiloh Church of the Brethren for an exiting Vacation Bible School to Discover the Untamed Nature of God in Wildwood Forest. Each evening at 6:30pm-8:45pm Come to have fun and learn about God. Classes are for 2 years-adults. Classes are Monday-Thursday. On Friday will be the program and picnic. The church is located on Rt. 667 (Middle River Road, in Stanardsville.
Fellowship Baptist Church located at 725 Gate Road in Madison will be having Vacation Bible School- Rescue 2009 the week of June 22-26 from 6:30-8:30pm nightly. Ages 4 up to adult classes will be provided. Early registration will be on Sat. June 20 from 4-6:00pm. Carnival style games and ice cream will be provided. Camp E.D.G.E.: “Experience and Discover God Everywhere” is an extreme adventure camp taking kids on exciting Bible treks to experience and discover God everywhere, every day. Stanardsville United Methodist Church invites all children to go to the edge this summer for Vacation Bible School. Fall Softball League: Greene County’s Ministerial Association will again offer its GCMA Church Fall Youth and Adult Coed Softball League. The season will begin September 13. Games will be on Sundays starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Youth Center in Ruckersville. To field a team, there must be 5 women and 5 men, ages 16 and older. Interested parties may email

NOTICES
The Caring Companions will meet every 2nd Tuesday at Westover United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm. This organization gives individual support to the elderly in their homes. If you have a loved one who could benefit from an hour or two a week visit from a friendly face or you are able to volunteer an hour or so a week to be present to someone else.
