RESCUE MINUTE

  Are you 16-18 years of age? Looking for something new and exciting? Something that you can take with you the rest of your life? The Greene County Rescue Squad is looking for young adults to join our Cadet Corps. If you are interested in saving lives, helping others and giving back to your community, give us a chance.   The Cadet Corps is sponsoring a breakfast fundraiser. Applebee’s on route 29 in Charlottesville will be the location on Saturday,July 11th from 730 - 10 Am for a pancakes and sausage breakfast. The cost is $5.00 and all proceeds go to the Greene County Rescue Squad. Any questions, call 566-9304 or 242-0196.
One last note, there is a misconception that if you come in to the Emergency department by ambulance, you will get seen sooner and faster. This is a common misconception, and reality is that if the ER is busy, you will be triaged based on the severity of your injury/illness. It is not unheard of for us to bring a patient in by stretcher, only to have them shuffled off to the lobby to wait with everyone else.
